Allanson, Kenneth E. Captain. 132900. 8th Coast Regiment Captain Allanson died during the sinking of the Lisbon Maru. In 2018, Captain Allanson’s nephew established and chaired the Lisbon Maru Memorial Steering Committee, with the objective of building a memorial honouring the men who died onboard the Lisbon Maru. And so, on 3 October 2021, a memorial was unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. |
