Topliff, Arnold O. Signalman. 2330282. Royal Signals Signalman Topliff was held at Osaka 1b POW Camp until transferred to Osaka 9b Notagawa on 20 May 1945, where he remained until liberation. [Topliff was awarded the British Empire Medal in 1946 for his ‘gallant conduct’ in saving the life of Captain Mann [in 1942] shortly after the Lisbon Maru sank.] |
