Constable Laban was held in Osaka 1b POW Camp, and transferred to Osaka 9b Notogawa, on 20 May 1945, where he remained until liberation.
This is thought to be a pre-war photograph taken whilst serving in the Royal Artillery.

Gunner Limacher died during the sinking of the Lisbon Maru.
